Overview

Eagle Rock Entertainment Limited was founded in April 1997 by three former colleagues at Castle Communications plc, Terry Shand, Geoff Kempin and Julian Paul.

Eagle Rock Entertainment Limited:

- operates in the music and entertainment business world-wide. It acquires and creates rights to recorded music, video, television and other visual programming.

- exploits these rights through the release of own-label CDs, video cassettes and DVDs and through the licensing of these rights for a variety of media.

- operates from its corporate headquarters in London and at other sites in Aldershot, Hampshire; Hamburg, Germany; Paris, France; and New York, USA.

- has three operating divisions:

- Eagle Vision, the group's visual programming division, incorporating Cromwell Productions, producers of factual programming

- Eagle Records, the group's principal record label, incorporating Spitfire Records, the US-based heavy rock record label

- Pegasus special products division

Eagle Rock's shareholders are its senior management and clients of HgCapital Private Equity.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

Terry Shand,

Executive Chairman, was the founder and Executive Chairman of Castle Communications plc from 1983 to January 1997 when he left to start Eagle Rock. He is a well-known figure in the world-wide record and entertainment industry, having over the last 20 years built up a wide range of strong relationships
in the record, video and broadcasting industries.

Julian Paul,

Deputy Chairman, is a Chartered Accountant and former merchant banker, who from 1991 to May 1997 was Deputy Chairman of Castle. He has wide experience of the media and entertainment industry, and is a director of or advisor to other private and public companies in that sector.

Geoff Kempin,

Executive Director, is also Chief Operating Officer of Eagle Vision. He held a similar position in Castle from 1990 to March 1997. He has spent his whole career in the entertainment industry, initially with EMI where he was Managing Director of Picture Music International. From 1987 to 1990 he was Managing Director of Polygram Music Picture International. He was for many years Chairman of the IFPI Music Video Committee and is a VPL director.

Simon Hosken,

Group Finance Director. Joined Eagle Rock in 2006. Previously was CFO at Acclaim Entertainment Ltd (a leading global video games publisher) for 10 years. Prior experience includes 5 years at BSkyB and 2 years at MTV Europe. Qualified with Price Waterhouse

Nigel Walmsley,

Chairman, was Managing Director of the Capital Radio Group from 1982 to 1991. He became a director of Carlton Communications plc in 1991 and Chairman of Carlton Television in 1994, before being appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Carlton, a post from which he retired in December 2001. He is a director of a number of other public and private companies.

Michael Haentjes

The founder, principal shareholder and CEO of edel AG.In 1981, he was appointed general manager of Warner Home Video, a position which he held until 1984.This was followed by the position of head of marketing at Teldec GmbH, after which he founded edel music in Hamburg as a mail order company for soundtracks in 1986.
Michael Haentjes was recipient of the MIDEM “Person of the Year” award in 1999 at the international MIDEM music fair. He has been a member of the international management board of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) for many years.

Jeff Bocan

Jeff Bocan is an Investment Manager of Beringea Ltd. Prior to joining Beringea, Jeff worked as an associate at Saffron Hill Ventures in London, focusing on early-stage technology and media companies in Europe and the USA.

EAGLE RECORDS

Lindsay Brown


Managing Director Operations, International. He joined Eagle in June 1997, having been International Director of Polydor UK since 1994, looking after such acts as Van Morrison, Bjork, Boyzone, The Cure and the Bee Gees. Before joining Polydor in 1993, he had spent over 20 years in the music business, mainly in artist management, managing amongst others Barclay James Harvest, Van Halen and The Sweet.

PEGASUS

Dennis Lloyd


Managing Director, Pegasus special products division. He spent 12 years with Castle Communications, latterly setting up and running Castle's super-budget activities. He joined Eagle in April 1997.


UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Mike Carden


Responsible for the Eagle Records and Spitfire labels in North America. He has spent over thirty years in the music industry in the US, his posts including general manager, CMC International; head of sales, East West America Records; and national sales director of Atlantic Records. He joined Eagle Records in July 2001.
